Headstart Programme: The society has recently set up a trial project called Headstart. Headstart is an intensive full day programme for children with autism using the latest educational programs for autistic children. Teaching programmes used in Headstart are TEACCH, ABA and PECS. The ratio of teachers to students within the class is 1:1.

Assessment and programme making: The society assesses and diagnoses Autistic spectrum disorders. Individual Educational programmes (IEP) are then written for each child according to his/her needs and abilities.

One-to-One and Group Sessions: The Society offers 1:1 educational therapy. It also offers 1:1 as well as group sessions in speech, music, computer and sports therapy.

Integration in Mainstream Schools: The Society supervises Autistic children enrolled in mainstream schools providing them with Individual Educational Programs, on-going assessments and shadow teachers when necessary.
The Society has set up its first classroom for children with Autism in a school for children with special needs. The set up has been very successful and the Society will continue to offer this service to any interested regular or special needs schools.

Short Courses and Training: The Society runs short courses for parents and professionals as well as teacher training in collaboration with schools and centers.

The Saturday Social Club: Trips organized on Saturdays designed to encourage appropriate social behavior and increase social skills. The trips include horse riding, swimming, art schools, spvenues, fun fa, beaches, restaurants and many more.

The Wednesday Workshop: A workshop organized on Wednesdays which aims at developing the children's motor skills through teaching them manual activities such as woodwork, pottery, sewing, cooking and candle making.

Summer Camp: A summer camp is run in the month of July for Autistic children and their siblings. Activities include swimming, horse riding, art school and integration in a mainstream summer school.

Meetings/Conferences: A professional in the field is invited to introduce a new concept, research update and offer help and advice to parents. It is also a chance to hear from parents how the Society can provide further support.

Newsletter: A newsletter published every month, covering up-to-date research on Autism as well as services available in Egypt relevant to both parents and professionals.

Resource Room: The Society is Compiling a comprehensive source of information on Autism; complete with books, journals and access to the Internet, available for use by parents, professionals and anyone interested in the field.

Awareness Campaigns: The Society organizes campaigns to increase the awareness and understanding of Autism in the community.

Home Support Program: Trained staff is sent to the home to help parents provide a structured set up for their child. Support for the parents also includes advice on day-to-day issues that arise when dealing with the children.

Computer System and Web Site: The Society is in the process of having a computer system tailored for it to administer its services more efficiently and to help it cope with he growing demand from parents, children and professionals in the field. It is also having a Web Site developed. The availability of both these services has been delayed due to lack of funds to cover its expense.
